That’s my Momma. It’s easy to be a good son when you got a Momma like that. No matter what I do she still love’s me. Once upon a time when I was 15 years old me and a buddy of mine decided we were gonna go down to the beach and spend the night. We knew if we told our parents we wanted to do that they would never let us so we decided that each of us would tell our parents we were going to spend the night at the other one’s house.
Our parents didn’t know each other and we both knew our parents trusted us so we knew we would get away with it. What we didn’t know was that it gets COLD at the beach at night. We hadn’t planned this very well and the beach we ended up at was vacant. No girls, no beer, no blankets. Just two guys in trench coats trying to stay warm. We ended up climbing into a big trash dumpster to keep from freezing to death. Lucky for us no one else knew what we were doing so we didn’t have to tell anybody how it worked out or even that we did it. I don’t think my buddy ever did tell anybody but I’m not quite as smart as him. About a week after our adventure I was sitting in the living room watching TV and my Momma asked “What’s Danny’s mother like?”. “I don’t know,” I said, “I never met her.” Like I said, I wasn’t too bright. I told her the truth. My Momma didn’t get upset though, she just said “Well, I wish you had told me what you were doing so I could have worried about you.” The next time me and my buddy went camping we did tell her. And she helped us prepare better.
