We can all seem to have special Christmas or birthday memories,  Mine was when I was very little, we didn't have any money either and all I got for Christmas was a box full of doll clothes for my dolls.  When I look back as I got older I realized Mom must have made them all out of an old sheet or something, everything was white with different kinds of trims, lace, etc.  I don't know why I can remember that one, I couldn't have been over about 3 or 4, but there was something very special about those doll clothes probably that they were made with love.

Now we're probably all going to get mushy about memories, ROFL, incidentally yours was a wonderful story.
